This flannel features some of the most intricate, yet least utilitarian designs of the collection, opting for opulent detail over function. The main body of the flannel is constructed of a plaid pattern, primarily blue with red and eggshell stripes. Each sleeve consists of at least 20 different types of fabric, ranging from T-shirt collars to dress-shirt-sourced suede to reflective 3M, creating a tapered cylinder of textiles that smoothly thins to the wrist. The upper segments of the sleeves have a connective collar made of various colored cotton T shirts’ collars sewn together and cut into strips. The result is beaded fabric displaying varying hues of a mostly warm palette. These cuffs frame the upper end of panels of acrylic-painted fabric, panels framed on their lower ends by red and white stripes. The outward-facing segment of this upper cylinder displays on one sleeve a suede-framed painting of a face in a melting landscape, and on the other sleeve a reflective 3M Siyousen logo, which bears striking resemblance to another logo… or does it… Below these segments is a tapered cylinder of heavily distressed, dyed, and bleached striped fabric which breaks open at the wrists. The breaks reveal thinner yellow-tinted stripes and embossed fabric strips resembling antebrachial wrist veins. Below these stripes and veins is another layer of painted fabric topped off by heavily bleached and distressed flannel cuffs. The bleached flannel cuffs rip open to reveal a second layer of white cotton fabric. Inside of the sleeves, soft cotton sourced from tees comfortably insulates the arms. The body of the flannel sports two graphic panels, one depicting a female figure and one on the back depicting a sunset landscape with floral motifs, inspired by the desert climate in which Siyousen is based. Above this panel lies a text panel which is illegible.
